I think it is really great that vice president Elias Camsek Chin brought up climate change at the recent UN meeting in New Caledonia. The meeting held in March was headed by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP). At the meeting Chin brought up the fact that small pacific islands are going to be the most affected by global climate change, but they are having almost no say in action against climate change. He spoke to the Executive Secretary of ESCAP, Noeleen Heyzer, and stressed the fact that the Pacific Islands should be more active in addressing the issue of climate change. She will hopefully be helpful in getting the Pacific Islands more involvevd in this affirmative action.
GO CHIN!!
